Director, Schneider Electric IT Environmental Stewardship Office and Edison Expert, Schneider Electric
In his role as Director of the Schneider Electric IT Environmental Stewardship Office, Ray is managing the company projects and business processes that ensure the company's compliance to the many requirements that regulate the substances that a product can contain. Initial efforts focused on RoHS and REACH directives out of the European Union, but has since expanded to include the many new requirements appearing worldwide that today can impact the design, manufacturing and marketing of electronic products. As an Edison Expert, he manages networks of technical experts whose purpose is to address the sustainability, material and regulatory challenges that Schneider Electric will face. Prior to his current position, Ray spent 15 years at Texas Instruments, where he had the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience in all sorts of environmental, health and safety areas including development of the company's process for meeting the End-of-Life Vehicles (ELV) directive and management of the teams populating the automotive industry's IMDS system. In addition to his work at Schneider Electric, he is also involved in a number of governmental, NGO and trade associations that are setting the thought leadership of the environmental movement for the next decade.
